ELIETTE ABÉCASSIS
Born in Strasbourg, Eliette Abécassis is a very young French author whose debut book, Qumran (translated into English with the title The Qumran Mystery) was a French best seller and quickly translated into many languages. The author has a degree in philosophy, which she also teaches, and was also screenplay co-author of the movie Khadosh, presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999, later published as La Repudiee. A sequel to Qumran was published in France in 2001 entitled Le Tresor du Temple.
